Taman Ayun Temple
Taman Ayun Temple is a royal altar built in 1634 by the founder of the Mengwi Kingdom (1627-1891). The second-largest temple in Bali consist of forecourt, a central court and a spacious inner court. The temple is surrounded by a moat with lotuses, giving it the feel of a garden sanctuary. Betond the moat, the temple lies on slightly raised ground. A tall stone gateway separates the forecourt from the central court, While the inner court is surrounded by a stone wall. Within the inner court are Merus, dedicated to various deities and spirits. In total, there are 50 shrines and pavilions in the temple complex. The Cultural of Bali Province, including the Royal Temple of Pura Taman Ayun, was inscribed on to the World Heritage List in 2012.

Bali Traditional Dance
As the sunset over Uluwatu cliff, around 800 spectators sat encircling the stage eager to observe the famous Uluwatu kecak dance about to start.
Right at 6 p.m., Around 50 bare- chested dancers entered the stage; a priest dressed in white sprinkled tirta (holy Water) and chanted prayers for the soon-to-start dance. While performances of the Ramayana story can be found in traditional Balinese dance in other places on the island, including Kesiman in Denpasar and Batu Bulan Gianyar, none of them can beat the exotic of a Kecak dance some 50 meters above sea level on a cliff, with the sunset and surround sound of the breathtaking waves as its backdrop.
The Kecak Dance in Uluwatu includes snippets of the love story of Rama and Shinta, the demon King Rahwana who kidnapped Shinta, and the helpful Laksmana who assisted Rama in saving Shinta. In one full our the dynamic movements of the dancers - a mixture of supple, funny, upbeat and intense movements, and their continuous a capella melodic chants told the story. The figures of Hanoman, Delem and Lenda-Lendi performed fresh multilungual jokes in Balinese, Indonesian, English and even Chinese, adding even more color to the presentation.
The monkey king Hanoman confidently sat among the spectators, joking and taking photographs with his fan, his interaction adding the Uluwatu experience. But the fun came to an end and was soon replace by suspense when Hanoman was surrounded by a circle of fire. He played with the fire balls, kicking some to the spectators who screamed in surprise and fear. At the end story, Hanoman managed to break free from the fire circle and rescue the goddess Shinta as the sun Wholly set over the cliff and darkness fell. The Uluwatu Kecak Dance is well worth watching and can be enjoyed daily at Uluwatu temple in Uluwatu Village. Except on religious Balinese holiday such as Galungan, Kuningan and Nyepi. The Temple is about one hour by car from Kuta. The temple is also reachable by Trans Sarbagita feeder mini buses from Kelan, Tuban and Garuda Wisnu Kencana bus stops.

Wood Carving Bali
The Mas Village Ubud does have many galleries. But only few is worth your time if you are a serious collector of wood sculptures. I would recommend the Manis Gallery (huge collectionof master-pieces and work by anonymous carvers), the Tilem Galleries (the small galleries include of mostly expensive master-pieces) and the private huge galleries of master-carver Wayan Mudana (truly a genius). There is also a huge galleries of quality pieces in the Taksu Bali Gallery in Peliatan (opposite the babi guling restaurant). The pieces by anonymous carvers are very reasonable price-list. You can easily get 50% discount, if you are willing to spend USD 1000, you can get a museum quality sculpture that will delight you for live. They can take care for shipping for you too at very reasonable cost. If you are not buying wood sculpture in Ubud, you have come here for nothing. There is art market near Ubud center is a dump that you should skip completely unless you are interested in penis-shaped key chains.
This is an amazing local knowledge of the native village of Mas Ubud. From the author’s observation that calculates the surrounding villages with an area of about 49km2 and population of nearly 3000 inhabitants, it was found that an astonishing fact. There are 10 pieces of banyan trees still alive growing around the village of Mas. There are three pieces of striking on the roadside village are still many and memorable haunted. Could be mistaken author’s calculation, because there are many large trees were not the authors include in the calculation. Temlenear the parkthere Jambe Buk 2 large banyan tree, and a little to the south near Market Pekaraman 2 pieces large banyan tree that shaded the street merchants selling.
When you are in Bali do not miss this one place, A good village potency rich art, culture, ecology and religion, From Denpasar is only 20 kilometers to the direction or heading to Park City Tampak Siring. A unique blend of creative art diversity of the population with the villagers of adherence to the rules of customary and religious, Mas Ubud makes it as one of the important tourism destinatiomn in Bali.
